Iguana Surf Retreats is located in the South west part of Nicaragua called Rivas.
Rivas is blessed with prevailing off shore winds and is getting more and more attention as a quality surf destination.

About 30-45 minutes north west of the town of Rivas is Iguana Beach, also called Playa Iguana or Playa Colorado. The beach is a beautiful light colored sand beach of 1.5 miles. To the south the river “rio Colorado” runs out, creating the great surf conditions known as “colorados”. In the middle of the beach a reef stretches out, creating the famous “Panga Drops” and to the northwest the beach ends with a point.

Just inland is the first and only golf course on the pacific coast of Nicaragua, and Iguana Surf Retreats are just 500 meters behind the middle of the beach and Panga drops and centrally located to hit either Colorado on the south end, or the point on the north end.

There are a total of 20 condos, which are usually used by the owners or golfers. Iguana Surf Retreats occupies maximum 2 condos with a maximum of 12 people.

There is a large 20 meter lap pool, a kiddy pool and a bar style pool.
Our office is right next to the condos, and here there are free WI FI internet and an outdoor lobby to sit.

The golf course is 9 holes, and there is a complimentary two rounds of total 18 holes included in the package. So in between surf sessions you can jump in a golf cart and try the golf.
